This partnership marks a significant milestone for our GameUp Africa program as we join forces with Endless to elevate our game-based learning approach for aspiring game developers across Africa. With this collaboration, African talents in game development have more opportunities to empower their creativity and skill development for the growth of continental games industry.
Empowering More Aspiring Developers
The global games industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the world, and Africa is no exception. However, many aspiring game developers face challenges, including limited access to resources, mentorship, and professional networks. This was the core motivation behind Game Up Africa. Prior to this partnership, since its launch in 2021, GameUp Africa has attracted over 5,000 applicants, trained more than 1,500 individuals, supported over 100 projects, and engaged participants from more than 20 countries.
Our collaboration Endless will focus on creating workshops, mentorship programs, and hands-on training sessions designed to equip participants with the essential skills they need to succeed in the African games industry and beyond. Every game developer has unique stories and perspectives to share, and we are excited to help them transform these ideas into engaging games that resonate with players, worldwide.
We will also work to create channels for showcasing the projects developed through this initiative, including online platforms and gaming festivals. This exposure will not only celebrate the hard work of participants but will also connect them with potential investors, collaborators, and audiences, amplifying their reach and impact.
