Program Details
Maliyo’s Game Art Training Program is a 3-month initiative designed to train aspiring game artists and create a talent pipeline for the rapidly growing games industry in Africa. Building upon the success of our GameUp Africa game development program, the art program aims to enhance creative quality in local game production, upskill African artists in game development techniques and principles, and establish a sustainable ecosystem for game development in the continent.
The Art program commenced on 29th May 2023 and is currently in the learning phase, where participants are undergoing virtual training to acquire skills in concept art, 2D and 3D art creation for games. This phase is equipping them with the necessary foundation to excel in the subsequent project phase.
