Learning & Development Lead

Maliyo Games is seeking a talented individual to manage its internal game developer training program with responsibility for refining our curriculum, devising strategies to optimise learning, overseeing the implementation and management of the program including measuring results.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for all aspects of the internal tech bootcamp training program for game developers, including facilitating the cohort during all stages.
  • Identify new trends in the marketplace and adapt learning material to meet business needs.
  • Identify and assess current and future training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals, and consultation with line managers.
  • Develop overall and individual training and development plans based on strategic goals.
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods.
  • Create and manage training schedules.
  • Market training opportunities to employees and serve as an advisor regarding training progress and opportunities.
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions.
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development.
  • Responsible for Learning Management System (LMS) maintenance and recordkeeping.
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and ROI, including periodic reporting.
  • Manage the training budget.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
  • Recommend training materials or methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.).
  • Advanced education in adult learning methods preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are critical.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skill and be able to influence desired behaviors.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, negotiating, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and innovative approach to work.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in-person and remotely.
  • Work requires continued attention to detail in establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and training schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in technology, including strong computer and database skills.

  • Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures and the ability to use standard office equipment.
